COREY TAYLOR Interviewed In Amsterdam (Video)
December 21, 2012On December 7, Holland's FaceCulture conducted an interview with STONE SOUR and SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor before STONE SOUR's concert at Melkweg in Amsterdam. You can now watch the chat in two parts below.
Taylor is working on a follow-up to his best-selling 2011 memoir, "Seven Deadly Sins: Settling The Argument Between Born Bad And Damaged Good". According to ABC News Radio, Taylor has almost completed work on his second book, which will be about ghosts. He explained, "The working title is 'A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Heaven', and it's basically my experiences with ghosts, which I know is going to freak a lot of people out. It's just about the things I've seen, the places I've lived, telling some of my friend's stories, because it seems like everyone either has a ghost story or desperately wants one."
Taylor added that he hopes to deliver the book to his publisher in the next few months and have it out by summer.
Fans said that one of the biggest strengths of Taylor's previous book was his ability to write as if he was just speaking with you — which Taylor told The Pulse Of Radio was the effect he wanted. "I wanted to write the book that way, you know, like I wanted it to sound like a conversation," he said. "I wanted it to sound like we were just kind of sitting there chewing the fat together, you know. Like, when you write in that way and you make it very conversely [sic], it lets you relax with the material. Like, you're not trying to beat people over the head with facts or trying to convince people of your point of view. You're just talkin.'"
STONE SOUR and PAPA ROACH will team up for a co-headlining U.S. tour that will kick off on January 20 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
STONE SOUR is touring behind its fourth album, "House Of Gold & Bones - Part 1", which was released earlier this fall.
